According to witnesses at the scene the driver of a silver 2000 Chevy Silverado was heading south on Chapman Highway and was attempting to make a left turn onto Boyds Creek Road when he was struck head on by Michael French, the driver of a red Ford F-350, who was heading northbound. According to state trooper Howard Greenlee there were no injuries to report and neither party had been found at fault at the time. The intersection at 421 and 411 is at the top of a hill which makes it hard to see if there are any other vehicles coming across the light until it is almost too late. This is the second wreck on this stretch of Chapman Highway in less than a month. On February 9th there was a fatal accident in front of the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department that saw another pickup truck hit head on by a school bus.
