Mark Giroux, assistant professor of astronomy and physics at East Tennessee State University will present a lecture entitled “Unraveling the Mystery of the High Velocity Clouds” at Walters State Community College. The lecture begins at 7 p.m. on Feb. 24 in room 141 of the college’s natural science building on the Morristown campus. Giroux is a graduate of Brown University and holds a Ph.D. in astronomy from the University of Texas. He has been a NASA Graduate Student Research Program Fellow and a University Fellow at Northwestern University. The lecture is sponsored by the Walters State Astronomy Club. Admission is free.
