Two teenagers were killed and four others injured in a two-vehicle collision January 25 on Emory Road near Collier Road.The call came in at 8:43 p.m. that two people in a Nissan Maxima were dead and four people in a Ford truck were injured. The Maxima crossed over the centerline and was struck in the passenger side by the truck, which was traveling east on Emory Road. Investigators say excessive speeding by the Maxima caused the wreck.Dead is 18 year-old Shane Henry, who was driving the Maxima, of 705 Valley Dale Road in Knoxville. His passenger, 17 year-old Tagan Brooks of 4746 Ridge Grove Road in Knoxville, was also killed. Both were wearing seatbelts.The four passengers in the truck were transported to U.T. Hospital. They are 37 year-old Scotty Smith, 40 year-old Rose Kennedy, 32 year-old Nicole Leary, and the driver 40 year-old Tammy Long. Long’s address is listed as 3405 Dyestone Gap Road in Knoxville. The other three list their address as 5502 Oil Barron Way in Knoxville. None was wearing a seatbelt.Tammy Long was charged this morning with theft after her release from U.T. Hospital. After the wreck, officers discovered that her truck had been reported stolen from Neil Sandler Ford on November 28, 2004. She was given a $15,000 bond.
