Two entrepreneurs with ties to Sevier County recently started a Knoxville business. Juli Neil and Angel Martinez have opened The Knoxville Real Estate Company, a full-service real estate firm offering both residential and commercial services. Neil was born in Sevier County, while Martinez married an Ogle descendant.
Neil, the office broker, has been a licensed agent since 1998. A native of Gatlinburg and former teacher in Sevier and Knox counties, she initially partnered with her father, Verlin Watson, broker/owner of Century 21 Four Seasons Realty; she most recently served as an affiliate broker with Coldwell Banker Wallace & Wallace in Knoxville. Neil has extensive experience in marketing, with special programs for previously-marketed and vacation/resort homes.
Martinez, an affiliate broker originally from Brownsville, Texas, has over 10 years of experience in the banking industry. He and his wife, the former Jennifer Reed, live with their three sons in Kodak. His previous affiliations include Fifth Third Bank and Bank of America in Nashville, where he worked with high net worth clients within the Private Banking and Premier Banking divisions. Martinez also assisted clients with financial planning as a Raymond James representative. He most recently served as Knoxville Area Executive for Citizens National Bank, where he was responsible for growing the Sevierville-based bank’s Knoxville relationships. This included securing financing for builders and developers.
Active in the Knoxville community, both Neil and Martinez are involved with the newly launched Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, local nonprofit Alianza del Pueblo, and the East Tennessee Film Commission. In addition, Martinez is a performing singer/songwriter, while Neil is a freelance writer. They are also members of the Knoxville Area Chamber Partnership, Knoxville Board of Realtors, Tennessee Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors.
Located at 4706 Papermill Road, Suite 4, The Knoxville Real Estate Company is a franchise of the Nashville Real Estate Company. The firm serves clients with both local and national real estate needs; their market will include Sevier County.
