Sevier County Grand Jury Indictments

The Honorable Rex Henry Ogle presided over the January 2005 session of the Grand Jury proceedings, which began Jan. 24. Among those indicted or receiving a presentment were David H. Maples, the man who police say fired a pistol at two people at the Sevierville Food City before shooting himself, and Kristi Dance Oakes, the former Seymour High School teacher who was arrested at Douglas Dam for having sex with one of her high school aged students.
