UT swimmer gets first win at UNLV

Freshman Lauren LeRoy claimed her first-career diving crown on Saturday afternoon, winning the three-meter diving competition at the UNLV Invitational. The Oshkosh, Wis. native finished with a total of 431.45 points.
“I’m very happy for Lauren,” Diving Coach Dave Parrington said. “She is starting to show the effect of some of things we’ve been working on during the fall semester. She made some very nice corrections on the three-meter board and feel very positive in the direction she is headed.”
Sophomore Brittany Fulmer, from Maryville also competed in the event for the Lady Vols, notching 14th place with 214.1 points. The Tennessee native only completed six dives and pulled out at the halfway point of the event.
Fulmer and LeRoy competed in the one-meter event on Sunday.
