Stranded in Reno
A storm passed through Reno Nevada and Lake Tahoe, leaving about 2,000 airline passengers stranded in the “Biggest Little City in the World”.
The storm, which dumped about 18 inches of snow in the immediate area, caused equipment failure and stranded passengers for what officials say may be two days.
According to reports most passengers won’t be able to get out of the area until Tuesday due to planes being booked solid.
The storm also left about three feet of snow in Colorado and other heavy totals in Wyoming and Nebraska.
Jet crashes in Colorado
A corporate jet carrying six people crashed in the mountains in Montrose Colorado Sunday morning. Snow was falling in the area, but officials are reluctant to speculate on the cause of the crash. Officials don’t have any word on the six passengers yet either.
The Gulfstream aircraft crashed at the Montrose Airport that serves the Telluride ski area.
