There was no doubt that the holidays were in the air as the Pigeon Forge Community Chorus sang holiday tunes at its annual Holiday Concert at the Smoky Mountain Jubilee Theater on November 20.
Those in attendance (close to 750) listened as chorus members put everyone in the holiday spirit.
Chorus Director Judy Harrell led the group of around 50 members singing new Christmas music and the old favorite traditional tunes. All were dressed in holiday attire as the chorus shared the stage with students from area schools including Pigeon Forge Primary School, Pigeon Forge Middle School and Pigeon Forge High School as well as students from Seymour High School.
“I just love listening to the music,” stated Sevier County resident Pam Christian. “It puts you in the holiday spirit.”
The Chorus event is just one of the many happenings occurring throughout Sevier County as the Winterfest festivals continue throughout the area.
Harrell sounded happy to be at the event saying how thankful everyone should be for living in country where we have the opportunity to have programs such as the one that day. , “All of us should be thankful to live in a country.”
One little girl in the audience danced as the chorus sang a traditional favorite.
The event was sponsored by the Pigeon Forge Department of Special Events, the Smoky Mountain Jubilee and the Pigeon Forge Community Chorus.
Many events are continuing throughout the season including the Winterfest Trolley tour of Lights which runs through November 30.
