WB Television recently chose Seymour Senior High School student Andolyn Johnson as the “WB-Student of the Week.” Several students were nominated from Seymour High School as well from across Eastern Tennessee, but during the show “One Tree Hill”, it was Andolyn’s name that was announced as the winner.
“It is such an honor to be recognized for my accomplishments,” stated Johnson who holds a 4.0 grade point average. She is also the senior captain of the cheerleading squad, is active in numerous clubs at school and community service organizations and has been involved in dance for the past 11 years.
Johnson received a $100 savings bond for this honor, but is qualified for additional college scholarship funding in the future. Her plans are to attend either the University of Tennessee or the University of Kentucky and major in journalism. “I’d like to go to a college where I can continue my dancing career as well as my education,” Johnson said.
WB Television will be airing an interview with Johnson on December 3 and December 4 during the TSSAA state football championships.
