Seymour High School had the highest number of students chosen to participate in the All East Choir. A hearty congratulations to the following students who were selected: Nicole Ambrose, Cody Boling, Brad Headrick, Shelly Hosler, Ashley Johnson, John Patterson, Nathan Patterson, Kimber Pegler, Jami Proctor, Nathan Rodriguez, Lacey Alford, Kristen Clark, Zach Crass, Ashley Katka, Felicia Brown, Marcus Baker, and Jessica Alston. The two alternates are Dustin Cowan and Rebecca Parton.
The 9th grade Honors Choir also was selected and the following participants were chosen:
Alex Minter, Lindsey Blalock, Amanda Green, Ashley Iler, Kameron Haggard, Richard Clark, Zach Ribblett, and Jordan Pitner.
For the third year in a row, the Seymour High School Choral Booster’s Club will be selling cookie dough as a fundraiser to support the program. The goal for this year is $16,000 in order to purchase seated risers for the students to sit on during practice. Last year the money raised was used to replace the carpet in the high school auditorium as well as investing in new microphones. Jean Burkhart, Choral Director, for Seymour High School should be contacted with any contributions to this campaign.
