At the end of school a representative from KUB did a wonderful safety presentation for some fourth graders, now fifth graders, at Seymour Intermediate School.
Mrs. Tracy Wolfenbarger arranged the visit and invited the students of her teammates as well, which included Mrs. Laws, Mrs. Mize and Mrs. Elliott’s classes.
The group watched the presentation then students were able to participate in an interesting “hands on” activity on which students discovered that the best way to wash their hands is the old-fashioned way with soap, a scrub brush and warm water.
In another activity students tried (and failed) to “outrun” electricity. These and other safety activities were fun and informative.
The teachers were grateful to KUB for helping their students to be better prepared for a safe summer.
