He wants to smear John Kerry and divert attention away from the Bush administration’s abject failures of the last three and a half years. There are issues out there that Rove, Perry, and others of that ilk want to avoid at all costs. American voters are not stupid, they can see what’s happening. They know the Iraq war is a costly one, both in dollars spent and lives lost. They know our national debt is an absolute travesty. They also know that whomever leads this country the next four years has a monumental task in front of them.

Another challenge before us involves the rest of the world. We must become more U.N. friendly. This us against them, “bring ‘em on” mentality is not working. Our reputation as a friendly, caring nation has taken a serious hit. Bush and his war hawks have not taken the time to think about the damage they have caused. We simply cannot ignore world opinion.
