The Faithful Men Choir will perform a concert as part of the Hot Summer Nights Series at the Blount County Public Library on Thursday, August 19 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be performed in the Reading Rotunda of the library.
The Faithful Men is a men’s music ministry ensemble from Fairview United Methodist Church. The group is comprised of men who love the Lord and love to sing his praises. They sing a variety of music from contemporary Christian to Southern gospel.
They have sung in several local churches and other community gatherings in East Tennessee and other surrounding states. Last year, they were one of the featured musical groups in a national missions telethon for the United Methodist Church which was filmed at the Ryman Theatre in Nashville.
The men are actively involved in missions in the eastern European country of Latvia and are working toward their third ministry tour of Latvia, scheduled for this fall. The Faithful Men are currently collecting school supplies and musical instruments to distribute to the children in Latvia.
If you would like to contribute new school supplies or a used musical instrument, please bring these items to the library concert or to the Fairview Church at 2508 Old Niles Ferry Road, Maryville, TN or call (865) 983-2080.
The program is free and open to the public. The Blount County Library is located at 508 N. Cusick Street, Maryville.
