At approximately 3:10 p.m. Sunday afternoon Delsa Harrison of Sevierville was heading east on Chapman Highway in her 1995 Toyota Corolla approaching the Wye intersection when, “I just don’t know what happened, I guess I lost control,” she told The Herald.
Harrison did not need the aid of the Sevierville Ambulance Service or the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department, both of which were at the scene just minutes after the call came in to 911.
A passing motorist called in the incident as he observed the vehicle leaving the highway. Sevier County Sheriff’s Officer George Percelly was the first to arrive on the scene to give assistance to Harrison.
