As plans are finalized for the Third Annual Seymour Skyburst Fourth of July Celebration, to be held Saturday, July 3 at 6 p.m., bigger and better attractions for the event are being announced.
The event, which will feature tons of games and attractions for children and adults, will be held at the former Seymour Flea Market on Chapman Highway.
Slated to appear at the festival will be Colleen Adair, WIVK-FM personality, who will conduct a live remote broadcast throughout the event.
The Herald Newspapers and Collier Restaurant Group will be awarding a drawing every hour of a $100 gift card for entrants, redeemable at any of Collier’s fine eating establishments.
A coloring contest with a patriotic theme will be featured for the kids, with three different age groups competing for the top prize. Every child who enters the contest wins a free lunch from Mr. Gatti’s Pizza.
The highlight of the festivities will be the fireworks show after dark, with a complete production set to music designed by Pyro Shows, Inc.
Rounding out the outdoor event will be Native American ceremonies, racecars on display, booths from local businesses, and food, rides, games, and much more.
Volunteers are still needed to work the event, which expects to attract as many as ten thousand to the Seymour area that evening. A few spaces are also still available for vendors and booths, and sponsors to help defray the cost of the event, which is held for the benefit of the Seymour community.
To sponsor, reserve a booth or display, or to volunteer, please contact Michele at 577-6609.
