The Seymour Middle School JV soccer team went into the playoffs undefeated for the 2004 year. This is the first year that the school has had a JV soccer team, which consisted of 6th, 7th and 8th graders. The group played teams throughout the Knoxville area.
During tournament play against Harriman the tam tied the first quarter 1-1. Seymour made a great comeback in the last quarter to take the win with a final score of 2-1.
Many of the players will be moving up to the Varsity team next year while others will remain on the JV team. The Middle School League was in conjunction with the Smoky Mountain Soccer Club and organized by Michael Moser.
