Humane Society auction proves successful

For anyone who loves animals it was great to see the response to the auction items that went up for bid at the Art and Antique Auction held by the Sevier County Humane Society on Saturday evening May 22nd.
“We are so pleased and proud with the outcome of the auction,” stated Jayne Vaughn Executive Director of the Sevier County Humane Society. We were fortunate that we had an audience of generous spirited individuals who were there to support the Humane Society and benefit the animals.”
The event was held at the Riverside Motor Lodge in Gatlinburg with auction services provided by East Tennessee Service and auctioneer Tim Milks and Cindy Becker provided hors d’oeuvres.
The event raised $9356 with items donated by various vendors and individuals including Randy Ogle, Lloyd’s of Gatlinburg, Lori Beckman, Robert Tino, Paul Murray, Hippensteal Gallery, Third 1 Productions, The Silver Galleon, Alice Moore, Bobbie Moose – The Brush and Pen, Tee Pee Dreams, Morton’s Antiques, Mountain Visions Gallery, Steven Stangler, Burchfiel-Kile Enterprises, Ken Jenkins, M. McCord, G. Webb, Ron Fly, Shield’s Antiques, Wear’s Valley Antiques, Larry Martin, Henry Parker, Lee Roberson, Hill’s Creek, Wear’s Valley Artwork, Neil’s Gallery, Steve Hanks, Posey Studio, American Legacies Gal, Burton Dye, Don Ringstrom, Action Antiques and Memory Lane.
One item, a clock donated by Dee Gallon of Memories Theatre made by the Gazo Company of San Francisco sold for $1100.
“It was very successful and will help us at the animal shelter to provide for any animals we are receiving especially at this time of year with kitten and puppy season on board,” stated Vaugh. “We want to thank all the vendors who so generous donating such wonderful handsome auction items and to all the cooperative efforts that went into putting this event together.”
