Christian churches the world over will be celebrating Easter Sunday on April 11. This yearly observance commemorates the account of Jesus Christ who was crucified by the Romans, then arose three days afterward.
Area schools, churches and civic groups will be observing the event in several ways. Easter sunrise services, egg hunts, basket presentations, and pageants to display the bright colors of the holiday are all planned for the Sevier County area.
