A local organization dedicated to helping Seymour residents has paid off a big debt, and a big relief.
CROSS, a church-supported ministry serving needy families throughout Seymour, now involving 15 local churches, is a 100% volunteer organization serving Seymour. C.R.O.S.S. Inc., which stands for Christians Reaching Out Serving Seymour, continues to meet many needs in our community.
“The Lord has continued to bless our ministry,” Said Charles Duso, CROSS President. “Churches and local businesses have supported our efforts with our new property. This February we were able to settle our debt on the property. Paying off the mortgage was a miraculous event after a short 15 months.”
“To be able to pay off the debt while providing assistance to over 600 families last year was truly a great blessing,” said Dean Hempel, CROSS Vice President. “In addition to the churches, we also want to thank the many businesses and individuals that helped with gifts. Although we’ve made a lot of progress, there are still a few items that we need to focus on. CROSS is in need of a computer system upgrade. Our current system is not able to utilize some of the new software. Also, we need to continue with the repairs and maintenance on our building.”
The CROSS office is located at 406 Boyds Creek Hwy in Seymour. You can make your charitable donation to CROSS by mailing them to; C.R.O.S.S. Inc., PO Box 186, Seymour, TN 37865-0186.
