The UT alumni club has some big time players in the NFL this season. Peyton Manning led his Colts to a AFC South Title throwing for 4,267 yards with 29 TD’s and only 10 interceptions.Manning had his highest quarterback rating this season his six year career. Manning has now started 96 straight games for the Colts.
Jamal Lewis (2,066 yds) finally had a full, healthy season and turned heads as he came just 39 yards short of breaking the single season rushing record held by Eric Dickerson (2,105 set in 1984). Only four other backs have hit the 2,000 yard rushing mark in NFL history. Lewis already earned the single game rushing record earlier this season in a Baltimore win over Cleveland.
Travis Henry had 1,356 yards rushing for Buffalo this season and while his number of long runs has dropped slightly from 2002, the runs he did break went farther down the field.
