After a tough district competition and a duck in and out of rain regional, the middle school golfers from Sevier County had a good outing at the state tournament held at the Three Ridges course in Knoxville.
The Catons Chapel team of Garen McCroskey, Bo Owens, Dusty Dodgen, Nick Myers and Ryan Curd did well against stiff competition from the likes of Webb and University School of Jackson.
Seymour Middle School qualified two players for individual medallist competition. Andrew Ramsey and Spencer Rudder took early afternoon tee times in their quest for individual placement.
Ramsey and Rudder are likely to be well known faces at the event. Both competing as sixth graders, they have two more years at the middle school level to compete.
