Millions know it, and millions love it. Originally made in 1927 in Vienna, Austria, PEZ® candy continues to delight children and collectors of all ages. To help enthusiasts understand more of this collecting hobby, as well as providing history and practical advice, Shawn Peterson announces the second edition of “Collector’s Guide to PEZ®: Identification & Price Guide.” Published by Krause Publications, this updated edition is expanded to include nineteen subject categories, identifying and pricing hundreds of dispensers and rare variations.
Subject categories covered in this guide include animals, Disney, guns, holiday, licensed characters, superheroes, candy packs, counter boxes and displays. Listings offer full color photos, dispenser names, production dates, variations, descriptions and up-to-date values. Also helpful is the illustrated glossary, convention contacts and where to look for more information.
Peterson began purchasing PEZ® dispensers for 50 cents each at weekend flea markets in 1990. Today, his collection contains hundreds of rare and common dispensers, candy packs and advertisements. His collection was featured in Toy Shop magazine. He lives in Blue Springs, Mo.
