Rachel Rhyne of Seymour has been invited to attend Clemson University in South Carolina as a National Scholar.
Clemson’s National Scholars program is designed to attract the nation’s best and brightest students and covers the full cost of attending the university, including room, board and books. New to the program this year is an additional two years of graduate study, made possible by a major gift to support the program. All of the scholarships available to National Scholars are the result of financial gifts from donors who are interested in seeing Clemson have the nation’s best scholarship program. “This is our premier scholarship program,” Clemson President James F. Barker said. “To be a national university, we must have a national-caliber scholarship program, and this is it.”
Students who elect to attend Clemson as a National Scholar will also receive an all-expenses-paid summer study experience in Europe. And they are offered a wide array of educational enrichment activities, ranging from specialized seminars to internship and research laboratory experiences. They interact with the university’s top professors, and with leaders in the fields of business, science and government service.
