Three rare and extraordinary aircraft arrived late Sunday at the Tennessee Museum of Aviation in Sevierville. They are now on display in the huge museum hangar on Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge Airport.
A P-38 Lightning, a P-40 Warhawk and  F 4U-1A Corsair are from the Planes of Fame Air Museum at Chino, California. They are calling the Tennessee Museum of Aviation home while on tour of the eastern U.S. For the next two months. An A F6F Hellcat is planned to join the tour soon.
These rare birds are currently on display along side the museum’s other flyable warbirds. A special Warbirds Weekend is planned for April 12 & 13.
