MARYVILLE, TN – A new writing service is now available to aid small and medium sized businesses, and nonprofit organizations in Blount County, Sevier County and other nearby counties.
“Our primary focus is on writing press releases,” Maryville resident and writer Nancy Williams said this week, “But we can also write promotional copy, newsletter and feature articles, business proposals, and other projects such as public service announcements, scripts for public address announcer use, and copy for electronic message boards.”
“Our aim is to help businesses who need something written but who do not have a staff member dedicated to writing tasks or enough staff to get everything completed in a timely manner,” Williams continued. “We work on a per-project basis.”
In addition to a professional career in public relations in another market, Williams has written press releases for Realty III in Maryville and The Lily Barn in Townsend.
“We’ll write a press release when a business wants to promote its upcoming event or recognize staff accomplishments or newly-elected officers, for example, or share business expansions, community participation, or other news.”
Williams recently moved to Maryville from Kansas City where she accumulated over 20 years experience in promotional writing and special event planning and promotion. She spent seven years with an NBA franchise in marketing and public relations, and 10 years as public relations director for Kansas City’s famed American Royal Livestock, Horse Show and Rodeo. Attendance at the latter event averages about 300,000 each year.
Her work has won Prism awards from the Kansas City chapter of PRSA (Public Relations Society of America). In addition to writing assignments, she also plans special events on a limited basis.
