Monty Lowans has been named director of food and nutrition services at Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center.
Lowans has previously served as assistant director of the department since October 2000. He has been in the food industry for sixteen years. Prior to coming to Fort Sanders Sevier, he formerly served as executive chef for Aramark at Carson Newman College and sous chef at L.G.’s on the River.
Earlier this year, he was selected by Morrison Management Specialists as one of the company’s 10,000 employees to participate in their management team as the official catering suppliers for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games. He is a graduate of Seymour High School.
Lowans resides in Kodak with his wife, Melanie, and children, Rylie, Sloan, and Briar. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, computers and playing the guitar.
