Clell David Watson, age 84, of Gatlinburg, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at Fort Sanders-Sevier Medical Center. He was a charter member of Roaring Fork Baptist Church. Mr. Watson owned and operated Watson’s Grocery Store in Gatlinburg for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents David Ellis and Lillie Mae (Trentham) Watson; brothers Olin and Charles Watson. • Survivors: Loving wife of 66 years: Beulah Ogle Watson; Son: Jack Ellis Watson and wife Martha. Daughters: Brenda Whaley, and husband Roy; Dorothy Middleton, and husband Lloyd; Grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Brother: Hugh Watson, and wife Evelyn. Sister-in-law: Mamie Watson. • Funeral service was Thursday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Dr. David Ayers, Rev. Clayton Brantley and Mr. Jim Parton officiating. Interment was Friday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. The family received friends Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.

Lee Linnert, Jr.

Christopher Lee Linnert, Jr., infant son of Christopher Lee , Sr. and Ciscly Dawn Linnert, passed away Friday, December 13, 2002 at U.T. Hospital. • In addition to his parents, he is survived by: Sisters: Destiny and Mariah; Grandparents: Sherryl Linnert, Constance and David Letourneau, John Linnert, Curtis and Mary Cole. • Funeral service was Thursday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel in Pigeon Forge. Pastor Randy Singleton officiated. Interment followed in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens, Pigeon Forge.

Kenneth F. Blatter
Kenneth F. Blatter, age 61 of Townsend, died Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. He was a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Preceded in death by: Father, Frank Blatter; Mother, Esther Blatter; Sister, Carol Sporka. Survivors include: Wife, Sandi Blatter; Brother, David Lee Blatter of Gainesville, FL; Aunt, Ruth Kruse of Chester, IL; many nieces and nephews. Friends called Thursday at Smith Mortuary. Memorial service was Saturday, December 21, 2002 at Smith Mortuary, Maryville.

Alma C. Reed
Alma C. Reed, age 87, of Maryville, died Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at Maryville Healthcare Center. She was a member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church in Lexington, KY. Preceded in death by: Husband, Avery H. Reed, Jr.; several brothers and sisters. Survivors include: William H. & Pat Reed of Lexington, KY; Daughters and Sons-in-law, June & Jerry Swaney of Maryville, TN; and Mary & David Dayton of Knoxville, TN; Grandchildren, Brian Reed, Laurel Reed Rosch, Ken Cassell, Jim Cassell, Lesly Wade-Woolley, Reed Wade; seven Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family received friends Thursday at Smith Mortuary, Maryville. Interment was in Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, KY handled by Milward Funeral Home.
