The TBI is assisting various law enforcement agencies regarding a series of armed robberies. TBI is requesting any information and assistance in an attempt to solve these armed robberies which have occurred in East Tennessee since October, 2001.
On October 28, 200.1, a male suspect entered the Whole Sale Food Outlet in Jefferson City, Tennessee. The subject was wearing an old than “rubber type” mask and brandishing a handgun equipped with a laser sight. The suspect is described as a white male approximately 6’2” to 6’6” tall with a slender build.
Similar robberies have occurred on October 29, 2001 at the Super Dollar Store in Dandridge, Tennessee; December 13, 2001 at the Hometown Grocery Store in Tazewell, Tennessee; December 22, 2001 at the Bi-Rite Market on AJ Highway in Knox County, Tennessee; December 29, 2001 at the Food City Store in Loudon, Tennessee; April.27, 2002 at the Food City in Elizabethton, Tennessee; May 3, 2002 at the White’s Food Store in Unicoi County, Tennessee; December 4, 2002 at the Food Country in Blountville, Tennessee; December 4, 2002 at the White’s Food Store in Greeneville, Tennessee; and on December 4, 2002 at Ingle’s Market in Greeneville, Tennessee.
