Tears of joy
Tears of joy were shed in the contemporary art community last month when a world auction record was established for a work by artist Roy Lichtenstein. Happy Tears from the artist’s Woman series realized $7,159,500.
It was one of six record prices set at Christie’s Post-War and Contemporary Art sale in New York.

Unusual wind vanes continue to stir up interest when they cross the auction block. This horse and sulky wind vane brought $10,450 at a recent Munda & Associates sale in Freeport, Ill.
