Well the season at 411 Raceway is almost over, and with only two more weekends left, the best racing is yet to come.
The point’s race for first place in all divisions is pretty much wrapped up, but second and back is a free for all. All nine divisions will race this coming Saturday the 19th. Friday the 25th it is the King of Kings race and Champion’s races, then on Saturday the 26th, is a regular race night, and being the last point’s race, you had better be prepared for anything. In the King of Kings races, all Drivers who have won in their division will race against each other to determine the King. The Champion race is for everyone who has yet to win this year. Those drivers will race each other, so they can crown a new winner in each division.
In the Super Streets feature, all of those guys are very competitive in their quest to get the checkered flag, and they work very hard to try and get it. If you have never seen this division you are missing a show. Number five Russell Smith took the win Saturday night, but not far behind was #11 Dale Watson. Third place went to #3 Larry Hurst, #83 Leander McCarter, and #01 Reese Martin wrapped up the top five.
The Chargers once again had some bumping going on and after 20 laps, it was #88 Harry Cadmus picking up the win. #3B Brad Seagle finished second and #1 Tony Stanton barely made it across in third place. Number 32 Travis Sands was also making a strong run for the line and finished seconds behind Stanton in fourth. Number 20 Angie Long finished in fifth place.
Number 17 Shane Roberts took off in the Legends feature and never looked back. Although #15 Butch Irick gave Roberts a run for the win, Irick just didn’t have the power to catch him. Roberts took the win; Irick finished second, third went to #49 Chris Ammons, #7 Ron Humble finished fourth and in fifth place was Bruce Wachter.
In the Classic feature, #33 Brian Ball took the victory with #6 Rocky Estes Jr., and #1 Josh Ferguson close behind. Number 83 Brett Baer took fourth and #2 Ron Rudder was fifth. In a special Classic race it was # 3 Marvin Carter taking his first win, #2 Ron Rudder finishing second, #88 David Appling finishing third, #5 Dennis Martin finishing fourth and in fifth was #4 Tom Conaway.
Number 17 Steve Owens ran away with the Modified Mini Feature. #T7 Danny Tulloch finished second, #29 Raymond Shular crossed the line in third, Tony Stanton #S3 was fourth, and #33 Jim Galloway Jr rounded out the top five.
The 4-cyl Late Model was an edge of your seat feature race as usual. Number three Bryon Ward suffered the most damage when two cars got tangled up and Ward had no place to go. He ran right up underneath the rear end of #19x D.J. Prater. Ward’s car instantly became much shorter but no one was injured and the race continued. Number 24 Todd Pierce started the race in the lead and held on to get the Checkered flag. Number 29 Randy Ogle was second; third place went #21
Bill Howe, #46 Bobby Morgan and #F4 Sammy Morgan rounded out the top five.
The Wedge cars also had a few problems during their
Feature, which sent five cars to the pit early. Once #4
Jeremy Broome got the lead he had no problem hanging on to it and taking the win. #92 Lance Gatlin was second, #8 Adam Beeler finished third, #83 Larry Gibson was fourth and #7 Scott Evans finished in fifth place.
Don’t forget to get out to the track. There is only two more racing
Weekend’s left. SEE YA AT THE TRACK
