Everyone load the car for the 2nd Annual Family Fall Festival on Saturday, October 19th from 10:00am – 3:00pm! The festival, hosted by the Knoxville Police Department, will be packed with fun activities for kids and adults such as face painting, clowns, a pumpkin-carving contest, Karaoke, a moonwalk, a giant inflated slide, carousel, and booths with give-aways on health and safety information. Kids will be able to check out a police cruiser, ambulance, and fire truck as well as the firehouse at Safety City. There will be FREE FOOD, drinks and treats and entertainment for all. There is no admission and everything is free.
This is the second year the police department has hosted the festival. The first year was a big success with a big turnout. Some comments from last year’s festival were, “The Children really appeared to be enjoying themselves.” “Family Fall Festival should become an annual event,” and “It was fun, free and safe. There are not many good family entertainments like this anymore.”
The event will be held at Safety City, a new facility that covers several acres that has been developed into a miniature City of Knoxville with child-size buildings, streets, signs, streetlights, and railroad crossings. Angela Hill, Coordinator of the Family Fall Festival said, “You’ve got to see Safety City to believe it! It’s like a wonderland for kids and adults. If you haven’t had a chance to see this place, come out to the festival and check it out. I promise you will be astounded that we have such an amazing place here in Knoxville.” For more information about the event, call Angela Hill at 865-215-7208.
