The plans are on for Seymour Community Christian School (SCCS) to hold its annual Harvest Festival this year on Friday, October 11 beginning at 5 p.m. Each class will have prepared a carnival booth with games and activities to entertain festival-goers.
The highlight of the event, the Harvest Auction, is set to begin at 8 p.m. that same evening. There will be restaurant certificates, entertainment passes, motel stays, collectables, artwork and more. Todd Thompson is scheduled to be the auctioneer.
School Secretary Angie Johnson said, “Admission to the event itself is free. Tickets will be sold to the individual carnival events. The concessions are going to feature hot dogs, barbeque sandwiches, soft drinks, popcorn and candy, and there will be lots of prizes to be won at the carnival.”
This event is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for SCCS. If your business would like to donate one or more items or a gift certificate to be auctioned, sold in the Country Store, or used in the concession stands, please call the school office at 577-5500.
