Greene, Harry Bowman
July 07, 1921 – September 18, 2002. Funeral Home: Atchley Funeral Home. Cemetery: Henry’s Crossroads. Harry Bowman Greene, age 81 of Knoxville, died Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was a member of Kodak United Methodist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and member of the French Broad Masonic Lodge # 588. Mr. Greene was retired from Blalock and Sons after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Greene. Survivors include his daughter Mary Greene, son Doug Greene, granddaughter Angela Walton and her husband Mark, grandson Mike Greene, and great-granddaughters Megan and Morgan Walton. Family and friends met 11 a.m. Saturday at Henry’s Crossroads Cemetery for graveside service and interment with Rev. Ty Harrison officiating. The family received friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
Lawson, Mary Tine Huskey
December 13, 1913 – September 18, 2002. Funeral Home: Atchley Funeral Home. Cemetery: Mattox Cemetery. Mary Tine Huskey Lawson, age 88, of Sevierville, went home to be with Jesus Wednesday, September 18, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Huce Lawson, parents Russell and Cassie Moore Huskey, two sisters, and one brother. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Betty and Arthur Hatcher Sr., Alice and Delmer Cooper, Mary and Tex Cogdill, and Patsy and Lawrence Rogers, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the East chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with the Rev. Coy Warren and Rev. Benny Flynn officiating. Interment followed in the Mattox Cemetery. The family received friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Atchley Funeral Home Sevierville.
Milsaps, Silas
Silas Millsaps, age 88 of Alcoa, died Sunday, September 15, 2002 at the family home after a long battle with cancer. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Alice Arlene, parents Vina Mae and Jacob Millsaps, infant sister Ruby, sisters Kitty Gooden, Mae Stafford, Bess Smalling, Lucille Smalling, Sarah Butler, and Neva Tallent, and brother Boyce Millsaps. Survivors include wife of 63 years Ruby Bivens Millsaps of Alcoa, daughters and Sons-in-law Bettie Ann and Dick Biancardi of Springfield, VA, and Nancy and Craig Fischer of Knoxville, TN, son and daughter-in-law Larry & Linda Millsaps of Sewanee, TN, daughter Jean Millsaps of Washington D.C., half-sisters Mrs. Tippie Raines of Murrysville, GA, and Isabelle Taylor of Madisonville, TN, half-brother Luke Millsaps of New York and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2002, at Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary
with Rev. Ronnie Buchanan officiating. Interment followed at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2002 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Family received friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2002, at Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville.
Reagan, Carl Lewis
June 30, 1940 – September 18, 2002. Funeral Home: Atchley Funeral Home. Cemetery: Walnut Grove Cemetery. Carl Lewis Reagan, age 62 of Sevierville died Wednesday September 18, 2002. Carl was a faithful employee at Hatchers Cleaners for 41 years and was of the Baptist faith. He coached little league baseball and football for several years. He was preceded in death by parents Tom and Reba Reagan. Survivors include daughter Sheila Reagan Bryan, sons Dennis Reagan and wife Mona, and Cory Reagan, granddaughter Syndi Beth, sisters and brothers-in-law Colleen and Lewis Owens, Charlotte and Jerry Spicer, and Maxine and Edward Howard, brother and sister-in-law Shelby and Dorothy Reagan, “Mother” Ruby Maples, lots of special nieces, nephews, and cousins and a host of friends, and special friends Sonny and Doris Creswell and the many good friends at Creswell Market and Sevier County Health Care Center. Funeral service was held at 7 p.m. Friday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Parton officiating. Interment was at 10 a.m. Saturday in Walnut Grove cemetery. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
