Governor Don Sundquist has announced that he has appointed Dolly Parton to help Tennessee attract more film and soundtrack business to the area. The governor appointed the country singer as Tennessee’s Ambassador for Film and Music. As part of her ambassadorship, Parton will star in an advertising campaign to help the cause. Parton has succeeded in both film and music. Some of her hits include, “I Will Always Love You” and “Jolene.” She has starred in a variety of films including “Steel Magnolias” and “9 to 5.”
