Seymour has a new Christian bookstore. Recently, Seymour Christian Connection opened its’ doors. Teresa Talbert, a 1981 Seymour High School graduate, returned to the area on a mission. She knew that the residents of Seymour needed something. So, Talbert decided to open a Christian bookstore.
“I had lived in Johnson City for the past five years and I made some contacts in book distribution. I wanted to be my own boss and using my book contacts it seemed ideal to open this store,” said Talbert.
Seymour Christian Connection is located on Chapman Hwy. in the middle section of Dr. Castle’s old office. Talbert has a nice selection of items in her store and her collection of books, church accessories, and Christian merchandise will continue to grow daily.
Talbert’s selection of church accessories includes: communion wafers, bulletin papers, certificate papers, and Sunday school teaching items are all available in the store or Talbert can order them. She also offers churches a 10% discount on all purchases.
Talbert also features a very nice Thomas Kincaide collection for those who love the “painter of light.”
Talbert also has a nice selection of fiction and non-fiction Christian books. “If someone is looking for a book and can’t find it, they can order it by noon and it will arrive the next day,” said Talbert.
Another popular item Talbert has in her store is a game called Bibleopoly. It’s like Monopoly only it is based on Biblical places and characters. She also sells Christian logo apparel and music. Her plans are for continual growth and expansion.
Seymour Christian Connection is open every day except Sunday and Wednesday. For store hours and merchandise information call 577-0325.
