On Tuesday, August, 6th the Seymour Rotary Club held its’ awards dinner at Ye Old Steakhouse in South Knoxville. Once a year the club receives a visit from the Rotary Club District Governor Robin Hines.
During the awards ceremony Seymour residents Jim Friddell and Linda Shults received Paul Harris Fellow Awards for service. The award is presented on behalf of Rotary International.
Also in attendance at the Rotary Club dinner were Seymour Rotary Club President Richard Baker and Rotary Club Assistant Governor Mickie Ratliff.
The Seymour Rotary Club is already busy gearing up for its’ Tenth Annual Seymour Rotary 5K Classic, which will be held at The King’s Academy. The race is scheduled for October 5th, 2002. The event is one of many the Seymour Rotary Club provides to raise money for Scholarships.
