KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Get ready for a “Big Night Out” with Baptist Senior Plus. On Saturday, June 29th, the Baptist Hospital membership program brings back an old favorite, the Baptist Senior Prom.
The event will be held at the new Knoxville Marriott (formerly the Hyatt) downtown and will begin at 6 p.m. Parking is free.
“There is something for everyone age 55 and over,” says Director of Baptist Senior Services Susan Long. “Whether they just want to tap their toes and mingle with friends or dance the night away, everyone will have a very enjoyable evening.”
All prom guests will enjoy the sounds of the Al Curtis Orchestra and The Mood Swing. The evening will include food, a nonalcoholic bar, music and dancing from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
The Knoxville Marriott will offer special meal and room rates for those attending the “Big Night Out.” Please call 594-4180 for further details.
Attire for the event is dressy, though formal attire is not required. Dress ranges from tuxedos and eveningwear to Sunday best. Gentlemen are asked to wear a jacket and tie.
Prom tickets cost $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Tickets for the Baptist Senior Prom are now available on a first come, first serve basis at any Baptist Senior Heath Center or at the Health Information Centers in both West Town Mall and Knoxville Center.
