Over 50 owners of parcels along Chapman Hwy. between Macon Lane and Shooks Gap have been notified of a meeting to discuss the potential sewer plans. It will be Wednesday the 15th May at 7:30 pm in the meeting room at CNB Bank on Chapman Hwy. in Seymour.
“After nearly five years of discussions, we have a signed contract from the Sevierville Water System”, stated Ron French, Blount County Commissioner and owner of Seymour Hardware. He went on to say, “It’s a window of opportunity for those on Chapman Hwy. from Macon Lane to the gap of the mountains to have sewer brought to their property.”
Specifics of the contract will be outlined at the meeting.
It’s said that sewer will greatly increase the possibilities for business expansion at those affected locations. For further information contact Ron French at 865-573-3511.
“We are glad to be able to facilitate sewer service in this area. Potential service has been discussed for some time, and the businesses involved in planning this project should be commended for their hard work and cooperation” stated Steve Flynn with the Sevierville Water Systems.
