Last Friday afternoon shortly after 2:00 pm on Old Sevierville Pike near the Community Church a two-story house was believed to have received a lightning strike on the roof which caused a fire. Seymour Volunteer Fire Department, Sevier County Deputies, KUB and Sevier County Constable Galyon all were on the scene within minutes to assist the family. The damage was contained to one section of the house. No one reported any injuries.
