Coming from Seattle where you can’t go for more than half a block without seeing an Espresso stand, I went into withdrawals when we first left the city. It was tough to find a “Real” cup of coffee. Now owners Jason Russell with wife Kristie and Kristie’s sister Laura Snow have perfected the perfect cup of coffee with their espresso business. Skinny tall double might sound like a foreign language to some but to the true coffee drinker the language is plain (It means a tall espresso with a double shot of espresso, using skim milk).
According to Jason Russell, “We serve about twenty cups a day now, just starting. It has been growing daily. One lady comes in three times a day.” Another customer Don Tilson comes by everyday or at least every other day. “My wife who is a non-coffee drinker says it’s the best coffee she has ever drank,” stated Tilson.
If you want to get your fix stop by their drive-through which is open 7:00 am to 12:00 midnight Monday thru Thursday, 7:00 am to 2:00 am Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00 am Saturday and noon to 9:00 pm on Sunday. I’ve got to warn you through, once you start, it’s hard to stop!
So, if you like coffee, no, love coffee, then you need to stop by K&L Package and EXPRESS located at 8769 Chapman Hwy. in South Knoxville in the Highland Shopping Center. Tell them Michele told you to try it.
