Rod Run puts pedal to metal in Pigeon Forge
Thousands of classic car owners, enthusiasts, and well-wishers flocked to Pigeon Forge on April 10th -13th for the Spring Grand Rod Run hosted by the Grand Resort Hotel & Convention Center. Always an event to remember, classic rods from all around the country were on display throughout town once again, bringing the feel of days gone by when rolling iron muscle cars ruled the road.
“We are very pleased with the success of the show,” Ken Seaton II told The Herald. “Due to the weather Friday, attendance was off by a small amount, but it was well made up by Saturday’s attendance.”
Mother Nature flashed her rosy cheeks by the time the weekend was in full swing and clear skies and warm breezes greeted attendees during Saturday’s events. “You couldn’t have asked for better weather on Saturday,” Ken stated. “And it helped make for a great show. It just flowed.”
As usual, gear-heads and their families and all who attended had a great time, and left looking forward to the Grand Resort’s next major car show – the 25th Annual F-100 Super Nationals to be held May 15th – 18th.
