Seymour Flea Market to Reopen

One of the most memorable, enjoyable and profitable establishments is returning to Seymour. Seymour resident Harry Taylor will be reopening the Seymour Flea Market.
One doesn’t need to be told all the treasures found at a Flea Market, but just as a reminder… tools of all kinds, antiques, collectibles, clothing, cookware, vehicles and RV accessories, after market items, garden and nursery items, household merchandise, pet and animal supplest, etc etc. etc. Not to mention that preverbal pot of gold. You’ve heard the saying… One man’s junk is another man’s treasure.
There are over 100 dealer spaces available located on 29 acres with plenty of parking and easy access from Chapman Highway. It’s only 15 minutes from Knoxville, Maryville, or Sevierville.
Taylor stated, “We will offer grand opening specials to dealer venders and even for people who was planning a yard sale. For a few dollars they could get so much more exposure and traffic here, consequently more sales, by having their yard or garage sale at the Seymour Flea Market.”
The market located just south of the main light on Chapman Hwy. will be held mid-week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Taylor has been working with Flea Markets on and off for the past thirteen years. Taylor states, “I’ve worked markets all the way from Florida to California and I have a company called Specialty Tools and our main products are “Super Disc and Dyna-Bits’ that has been sold by forty-two dealers across the country at flea-markets. Seymour is really the next Farragut as far as I’m concerned. It’s growing by leaps and bounds and the location is perfect on Chapman Hwy. with cars going by all day. By being a mid-week market, dealers can lease space at a minimal price and people who just want to come sell their garage sale items can afford to come.”

Taylor says he will have good restroom facilities and he is planning on having a good concession with hot dogs and Bar-b-que. “The prices will be moderate. You can come get a bar-b-que, chips and coke for around $3”. The grand opening will be April 29th.
