On Sunday the 14th of April, a Sevier County Ambulance was transporting two injured victims of a vehicle accident in Gatlinburg. While in route to UT Hospital, one of the victims became serious and the paramedic radioed for a Wings Air Rescue helicopter to meet the ambulance at the Seymour First Baptist Church on Chapman Highway. The transfer was made and the victim was flown off. The Sevier County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department keep the area safely clear while the helicopter arrived and departed.
