Great food, great entertainment for all
The Maryville Foothills Fall Festival has gained popularity over the past few years, providing Blount and surrounding counties with some great entertainment and fun for the whole family. Last year, the festival featured the group Alabama who were touring the country on their farewell tour, and enabled the event to gain some national recognition. This year, the festival has a great lineup of groups and will feature food, crafts and children’s activities as well.
Organizers have signed some impressive acts to perform this year including, Mary Wilson and the Supremes, Mickey Dolenz, formerly of the Monkees, and Carolyn Dawn Johnson, a country diva that has taken fans by storm with her songs this year.
Two of the biggest acts will be country superstar Vince Gill and the group Diamond Rio. Both acts have received countless awards from the Country Music Association, The Academy of Country Music Association, and The Grammys.
The festival has added an attraction this year for the children called the Children’s Adventure Land that will be sponsored by The American Fidelity Bank.
The Maryville Foothills Festival is in its fifth year and draws thousands to Maryville. It promises to provide plenty to do for the attendees. Concert tickets are $45 through Thursday and $55 at the gate. Tickets may be purchased on line at www.foothillsfallfestival.org or by calling Tickets Unlimited at 656-4444.
