Blount County Sheriff James Berrong announced today that a 28-year-old Knoxville man is in custody in connection with the aggravated robbery of a 76-year-old Seymour woman Tuesday.
Casey Michael Lowe, 28, of Knoxville, was taken into custody at around 2 a.m. this morning during a traffic stop by Knoxville Police Department on Chapman Highway. Lowe was driving the 1995 white Nissan Altima that had been reported stolen out of Knox County. Lowe is in custody in Knox County to face the charges in Knoxville. Blount County Sheriff’s Office has placed a hold on Lowe to face the aggravated robbery charge that was placed on him as a result of the aggravated robbery Tuesday.
The Blount County Sheriff’s Office interviewed Lowe earlier today, and he confessed to the deputy that he had some involvement in the I.C. King Road incident.
It is not known when Lowe will be turned over to Blount County to face the aggravated robbery charge.
